河口慧海が１００年前に辿った道をたずねてチベット国境へ

１００年前、僧河口慧海が仏典をもとめてネパ-ルから、当時、鎖国状態にあったチベットへ潜入したときに辿った道をたずねて、西ネパール・ドルポ地方の高地(4000〜5500m)へ。
100 years ago, Priest Ekai Kawaguchi, who had been searching for the Buddhist scriptures, crossed from Nepal into Tibet where at a time when Tibet was virtually closed to rest of the world. We traced his route to the heights of 4000m to 5500m through the Dolpo Region of Western Nepal.
